The ASEAN Day for Disaster Management 2021

The ASEAN Secretariat and its partners convened the commemoration of the ASEAN Day for Disaster Management on 14 October 2021, in conjunction with the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR) every 13 October. The commemoration was held via teleconference and hosted by Singapore as the current Chair of the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM).

This 2nd edition of the ASEAN Risk Monitor and Disaster Management Review (ARMOR) is now published and can be downloaded at AHA Centre website. The publication aims to advance the publication’s objective of providing authoritative information specifically regarding the ASEAN region.

By the Youth, for the Youth Virtual Training Series 4 on Climate Finance

We are back this month with a more exciting topic to be shared! This will be a final Training Series conducted for the year 2020!

We have successfully conducted the 1st Training Series (6 June 2020), the 2nd Training Series (4 July 2020) and the 3rd Training Series (8 August 2020) previously. The final 4th Training Series for the year of 2020 will be on Climate Change Finance. The event will feature young professionals as speakers who have been exposed and have had training to the topic at hand.

The 3rd Training Series on Climate Change Finance will be conducted on Saturday, 12 September 2020 at 10 am (+GMT8 KUL). The registration is now open here.

The Virtual 2020 Asia Pacific Science and Technology Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction (eAPSTCDRR) will be held on 15 October 2020, at 11:00 – 16:30 [Malaysia Time Zone UTC +8], via Zoom Online Meeting Platform. Since the postponement of the Conference in March 2020, the Virtual Conference will be organised by UNDRR and Government of Malaysia, with support from other international and national partners.
